Writer in Residence Workshop

 

St. Kevin’s is delighted to avail of a Writer in Residence Programme with the poet Anne Fitzgerald. Anne is an established poet who is listed on Poetry Ireland Directory of Writers and Schools 

She will work with a Second Year class group of 18 students over a five week period developing their writing skills. The participating students will also have the opportunity to participate in the Lon Dubh Festival taking place during the week of the 10th April .

Anne read Law at Trinity College, Dublin, and received an MA in Creative Writing from Queen’s University, Belfast. 

She has edited, produced and designed four anthologies of young adults' poetry and founded MET Press and Loreto Abbey Dalkey Press; both educational publishing houses for schools. 

She has facilitated creative writing workshops with primary, post-primary and adults in schools and universities from: Glenstall Abbey to The Tyrone Guthrie Centre, from Wales to Beara Island, Iceland to New York, Idaho to Taos, and Montana to Monaco. She is also a recipient of The Ireland Fund of Monaco Writer-in-Residence at The Princess Grace Irish Library in Monaco.
